TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tropical Storm Idalia is forecast to bring "life-threatening storm surge" to much of Florida's northwest coast as it intensifies into a Category 1 hurricane on Monday, the National Hurricane Center said.According to a 10 a.m. ET update, Tropical Storm Idalia is moving north around 8 mph and is located about 80 miles south of the western tip of Cuba. Idalia is expected to continue its motion north through Monday evening before turning northeast on Tuesday and Wednesday. LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A security officer for SUNY Adirondack was arrested for impersonating a police officer. Joshua S. Copeland, 36, of Queensbury, was charged with criminal impersonation in the first degree and arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Part Court. According to the Warren County Sheriff's Office, a caller reported being harassed by a suspicious male on the night of August 22 at a business in Lake George. Investigations determined that Copeland impersonated an officer while attempting to solicit personal information from the caller. Police say Copeland was wearing body armor and a shirt with the New York State Police logo at the time of the incident. Copeland was released after arraignment. FAIRFIELD, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two people were airlifted to Albany Medical Center, one with a serious head injury, after an ATV crash on Sunday in Herkimer County. The crash is under investigation. A preliminary investigation determined an Arctic Cat TRV 500 ATV with two people from Little Falls on it was headed westbound at a high rate of speed and went off the roadway. Police say the ATV struck an embankment and both occupants were ejected from the ATV. A 23-year-old was airlifted to Albany Medical Center for a serious head injury, the other was airlifted with non-life-threatening injuries.North Greenbush hosting annual town fair

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Slingerlands woman pleaded not guilty to a July theft case, which alleged she stole a ring from a sleeping patient while employed by Albany Medical Center. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to Crossgates Mall around 7:34 p.m. Sunday night for reports of a large crowd with several small fights.
